Happy Tuesday, everyone! It’s the first time in weeks where my email is finally under control. I have it down to just a couple of unread emails which feels so stinking good and has me ready to take on the day. Another thing that has me feeling ready to make this Tuesday the best one in a long time is some amazing new music I have to share with you starting with “Tina (Live at Lakehouse Studios)” by the dt’s.
the dt’s are David Cacciatore & Tom Losito and, man, do they have a solid sound. This track, in particular, is super situated in the indie rock vein of things but there’s an artistry about this song that keeps it feeling like every other indie rock sound out there. There’s a slight hint of retro rock in this song that gives this four-minute song a jangle that will surely get stuck in your head instantly. On top of that, there’s a smoothness to everything in this song that makes it one of those easy listening kind of songs. “Tina (Live at Lakehouse Studios)” will not be the song that makes you want to get up and start moshing around the room but it will absolutely fill your heart and soul with a cozy sense of warmth that makes it perfect for this chilly December morning.
