Happy 2025! I wont’ say that this year is going to be an amazing one because I feel like that can sometimes jinx everything but I’m starting this year off with a track from winterforever and, well, that just feels right because “Selfish” is such a good and triumphant track and I love starting off 2025 the way I ended 2025– with a song from winterforever.

I know I just shared out “Tailpipes” from this same band a couple of days ago but, in case you missed it in the franticness of the new year, I’m reminding you of the genius of this band by sharing out another track from them. “Selfish” is a song about ending a toxic relationship that should have come to an end a long time ago. I love that you can feel a sense of frustration in the beginning of this track and how it turns into more of a sense of resilience and triumph by the end. Again, this song showcases winterforever’s signature post-hardcore meets pop-punk edge with a strong The Wonder Years vibe that comes through loud and clear throughout this three and a half minute song. If you’re looking for the right song to get you in the mood to get stuff done while just trying to keep your head above water as you get into the new year, “Selfish” is the song for you.
