I’ll be honest, it feels great to get back in the swing of things after being so sick over the past couple of days. Sure, I’m buried in work and tasks but, truthfully, it feels good just to feel good enough to do it all. I’m keeping my spirits high and my head up which is honestly shocking as I am typically the first one to give into stress and have a giant meltdown. I’m not sure what’s gotten into me but all I know is I’m loving this new mentality and am ready to celebrate it by checking out some new music starting with “Seasons of Mine” from The Losers Club.
It’s kind of crazy how perfectly this song is speaking to my soul. At first, this song was supposed to be about a rough year and all the things that comes with that but, as The Losers Club worked on the track, it became more of an appreciation for those times rather than the angst that comes with it. I love it because, like my current mental state, there’s not so much a sense of defeat in this song but more a feeling of power that reminds you that you can’t change what you can’t control. It’s a laid back track but comes with the perfect sprinkle of harder-leaning-pop-punk-angst. I’m not sure where The Losers Club are from or anything like that but I can tell you that I’m excited to hear more from this band as this introduction to them is hitting me so hard and so perfectly.
