Girl at the Rock Shows

I’m still somehow staying above water but I’m starting to get frustrated. I’m still not 100% over the sickness that took me out at the knees last week and, because of that, I’m moving a bit slow. That’s okay. I know it takes time to get better and I have to be gentle with my body as I ease back into my extreme schedule but I’m frustrated that it’s already lunch time and I haven’t gotten nearly as much as I wanted done yet. I won’t let it get the best of me, though, and, instead, will dive into another pop-punk-perfect kind of track as a little breather.

I absolutely mean it when I say that “Slam Dunk” from x2 fast is a pop-punk-perfect kind of track. Right off the bat, this song reminded me a bit of Allister meats a more old-school Busted sound and it instantly made me smile from ear to ear. From this song’s infectious chorus to the slight sharp tongue that comes with some of the words and the endless amount of energy, this song may only be two minutes and sixteen seconds long but it packs a punch. There’s something almost furious about this track that I found super intriguing. It’s not in the beat, it’s not in the drums, it’s not even in the vocals. I couldn’t tell you where this furious feeling is coming from but I can tell you it’s one of the many things about this track that is making x2 fast stand out in a scene that seems to becoming oversaturated a bit more with every passing day.
