My lunch consisted of a salad. Although it was tasty, it was also less than fulfilling and I am already hungry again. This has nothing to do with the next amazing song I have to share with you right now but, rather, just shows where my day is at. I hope your lunch was a bit more exciting than mine but, if it wasn’t maybe “Grippy Sock Vacation” from Dying Out Loud will help make up for it.

The title track from Dying Out Loud’s debut EP, I love how chaotic this song feels while it somehow comes off as cohesive at the same time. Everything about this song is intense from the actual vocals and instrumentation to the storyline. It’s actually a clever and slightly funny song about losing it and getting placed on a mental health hold. I know that that’s obviously not a laughing matter and mental health is nothing to joke about but I feel like this song sounds like one of those days where you can’t help but feel that everyone around you has completely lost their marbles which leaves you feeling completely insane. I love how Dying Out Loud has put that feeling into this song and, although it doesn’t fit with the chill Tuesday I’ve been having, this song will surely come in handy for one of those weird days where something is just off and everyone seems crazy.
