My day doesn’t seem to be getting any better. It’s just one of those days where, although nothing super bad has happened, I am struggling to stay positive and motivated. I know I just used a new song as a distraction but, honestly, doing that was the first sense of joy I had felt in a couple of hours so let’s do it again and check out “A New End” from Savelene.

I’ll be honest, I really don’t like the beginning of this track. I found it to be a bit too slow and slightly generic, but, for some reason, my gut said to stick with this track, and I sure am glad I did. Whether or not the beginning of this track is for you, what happens around the two and half minute mark is truly insane and so perfect. This song somehow goes from a cliche hard rock (or what I like to call “butt rock”) song into something so intense and so aggressive that I can’t quite find the right words to describe it. Although there’s a slight crescendo into this moment of intense yet controlled chaos, I loved how it felt like it hit out of nowhere and how it closes “A New End” off with a true bang. Savelene may not be my new favorite band (sorry, guys), but there’s no denying the talent and creativity contained within this track. I’m glad I went with my gut and stuck through this song because, by the time I finished listening to it, I realized that this was just the energy that I needed to help get me back on track for the day.
