Girl at the Rock Shows

I feel like today has been nothing but a giant, non-stop anxiety attack. It’s miserable and, at this point, I really just can’t wait to get home, take a quick snooze, and try to re-set in time for my show tonight. Until then, I have to find something to keep me as calm as possible and, if you haven’t already figured it out, music that that thing. I figure that it would be perfectly fitting to check out a band called Anxiety Attack at this time so let’s dig into their song, “Ya So Anways I Started Blastin.”

“Ya So Anways I Started Blastin” is not a new song. In fact, it’s pretty old when it comes to the music world. This track came out a year ago, but it’s new to me, which means it’s undoubtedly new to you. This song is actually a heartbreaking tale of betrayal and bitterness, but you wouldn’t know that from the first listen. Anxiety Attack has one of those pop-punk-perfection kinds of sounds that makes every song with even the most sharp-tongued lyrics feel infectiously danceable, and this track is no exception. I really Anxiety Attack seems to bring in a bit heavier of an influence into their instrumentation while the vocals remain fun and boppy. It creates a super cool contrast making “”Ya So Anways I Started Blastin” one of those songs that can act as a way to get rid of some pent up aggression or one of those songs that you just smile and nod along to. Either way, I’m willing to bet you’ll enjoy it so check it out!
