My watch just gave me my first warning about a possibly panic attack. I know that that should worry me but, honestly, I’m impressed. It’s the first buzz of the day when, typically by this time, I’m well above ten. Most of the time, I just ignore the warning but I want to try and be more conscious of all things so I’m taking it as a sign that it’s time for a break and time to check out a chill song.

“Shine” from Chris Bullinger is definitely a bit more low-key than I typically share out but I love it all the same. This song feels like a late-night bar close. It feels like that dark stumble home in the dead of night where there’s nothing to keep you away from your thoughts but those thoughts aren’t necessarily as dark as the moonlit path you’re walking. Dramatic? Absolutely, but that just matches this song. It’s rough and raw with a flare for the dramatic but also a sense of coziness that will instantly wash over you like a wave of the most beautiful calm you’ve ever felt. As much as I want to keep on writing about this song, I just keep on hitting repeat and sitting here in silence as the song takes me over. The tapping of keys on my keyboard takes away from the beauty of this song, and that beauty never seems to disappate regardless of how many times I listen to the track. Long story short, take a breather and get lost in the wonderful and beautiful world that is “Shine” by Chris Bullinger.
