What an amazing week it has been. I mean, come on, from STOMP to AC/DC, I’ve had a killer week and this weekend is surely going to keep the trend going. I’m not quite there yet though. I still have a day full of work to get through but, thankfully, I have some amazing new music to share with you to help me make it to the finish line starting with “Animal” from Go For The Gold.
Within the first second of “Animal”, you get to hear Go For The Gold’s sound in all of it’s glory. It’s a melodic punk sound that dabbles into a slight pop-punk sound but never quite gets there. What you do get from this song is a sense of grit and tears. You get hooks that will surely be stuck in your head throughout the day and you get a sense of emotion that will wake up even the most tired soul on this Friday morning. Above all of that, you get a sense of perfection from “Animal”. Everything from the songwriting to the lyrics and all the way to the production of this track, “Animal” proves that this punk band from Western Pennsylvania knows what they are doing and they are absolutely a band to keep your eyes (and ears) on.
