Have you ever found a band that you just wish you were as cool as? Maybe it’s the people in the band, maybe it’s the band’s sound, maybe it’s all of the above, but have you felt a little sense of impostor syndrome being around a band that is just so much cooler than you? You may be chuckling at this thought right now, but seriously. I feel like we all have those bands that we feel are the pinnacle of talent and grace. Kiss The Tiger is that band for me. These local rockers not only have a hell of a live performance and an insanely amazing and unique sound, they are some of the loveliest humans out there so when they gave me a sneak peek of their new song “Big Booty Scooty” and video, I was over the moon but also felt like I was not worthy. Whether or not I was worthy, the time has finally come where I can scream about this fantastic new single from the mountaintops.

In true Kiss The Tiger fashion, this song and video are just too cool for me. It’s half retro, much like the sound of this local indie rock band, but it has a spark of snark behind it. The fun-loving yet down-to-business attitude of vocalist Meghan Kreidler shines through this song and video, alongside her bandmates and friends, who are featured in a super fun and colorful video. Listening to this song, I don’t know where director Aaron Straka got the idea for the themes behind this video, but by the time this all too quick two-minute and twenty-second song was done, I realized that there wasn’t a better theme. From the sunshine to the color pops to just the all-around playful energy that comes through in this song and video, “Big Booty Scooty” and its video are just perfect for a Friday afternoon.
