Girl at the Rock Shows

I’m not sure why, but there are just no creative juices flowing in me today. It’s not a bad day or anything, and, truthfully, I’m not any more tired than I usually am, but coming up with intros for all of these amazing singles is just not happening. Don’t let that stop you from listening to these tracks, though, because these songs, like “Smoke and Mirrors (Business Suits)” from Christina Canevari, are absolutely worth your attention.

“Smoke and Mirrors (Business Suits)” is the debut track from Christina Canevari and, to say it’s impressive would be an understatement. This song is so full of grit, angst, and, most importantly, passion. You don’t get to hear every word that Christina sings in this powerful, hard-rock-leaning, alt-rock single; you feel them. You feel every syllable, scratch that, every letter, of every word hit deep down into your soul. It doesn’t matter if the word is being said with Christina’s signature blend of gritty swagger or if it’s one of the more goosebump high notes that she slides into with ease; this song had my bones chattering in the perfect way. “Smoke and Mirrors (Business Suits)” is part of Christina’s debut EP, which is out now, so if you like what you hear here, I highly suggest checking out the full EP.
