I’ve fallen a bit behind on sharing out singles. Part of that is due to life in general, but another part of it is because there is just so much amazing new music out there, and I want to share it all with you. Because of that, I’m going to try to pound through as many singles as I can in the upcoming days. This means a lack of quirky intros, but do not mistake that to mean a lack of amazing songs, because these are absolutely worth your time and attention. Case in point? “Deadbeat” from Aidan Valentine.

“Deadbeat” is a classic pop-punk-perfect kind of bop. Aidan Valentine definitely has a way of nodding to nostalgia-pop-punk bands of years gone by while putting their own twist on it. The twist in this song is something slightly dark and ominous. I don’t know how to put it into words, but I promise that within the first few seconds, you will pick up on this slightly dark and twisty vibe and follow it throughout the three-minute track, falling in love with the upbeat jam that is this song. Vocally, this song feels a bit like modern day MGK but don’t let that scare you off (or let it entice you, depending on your thoughts on the megastar), overall, this song is the kind of track that will get stuck in your head at the same it gives you life for your sleepy Thursday morning,
