Girl at the Rock Shows

It’s been quite a few months since I’ve seen So-Called’s name come across my desk. I fell in love with this band with the first couple of songs I heard from them so I was super excited to see that a new song was out.

“Disintegrate” seems to continue on with So-Called’s distinct skate punk sound, but brings a bit more of an edge to it. I feel like there’s just a bit more speed and grit to this song when compared to some of the other songs I’ve heard from this band, and I’m absolutely here for it. Even though I caught onto the angsty side of this song, there’s no denying the beauty and comfort that So-Called fits in here as well. At only three minutes and eighteen seconds, it’s honestly super impressive to think about all of the emotions and feelings that this band is able to put into just one song while making sure it comes off as a cohesive thought. Long story short, if you’re not already obsessed with So-Called, you will be after just one listen to “Disintegrate”.
