Ignoring my email all weekend was nice because I feel like I finally got a little break but I am absolutely paying the price for it right now. Thankfully, my day job is pretty quiet (*knock on wood*), so I’ve had time to buckle down and just blast through everything else, but there’s no end in sight, and I’m starting to feel overwhelmed. This all means it’s time for another break, and I’m super excited about this one.
Kamikaze Lavanda is a band from Italy, so everything they sent me with this single is in Italian, and I can’t understand a word of it. That’s okay, though. This song doesn’t need to be read about; it’s a song that deserves to be felt, and you feel it within seconds. “WORK FAST DIE YOUNG (HO VISTO)” is just under three minutes long, which, in all honesty, is a super standard song length, but something about the power that Kamikaze Lavanda packs into this track makes it feel like it’s over in just the blink of an eye. There’s power and grit but there’s also so much emotion here. I loved how I was about to take my feeling of slight panic and overwhelming stress and almost channel it into this song in a way. This was just what I needed to get back into the work day and back to getting stuff done and I can not thank Kamikaze Lavanda enough for that.
