I just ate way too much for lunch and am absolutely paying the price for it. It was a warm and yummy lunch, which means I’m about ready for a nap, but still have a few hours at the day job before I can take a quick nap and continue on with my day. I need a pick-me-up, and NOTADOG is always a good way to kick off an afternoon and help you get through the post-lunch slump.

“Simply Scrolling” is explosive but not in the way you may think. Sure, it starts off with a shout, but as this song moves on, you feel the swells and movements of emotion washing over you with the help of beautiful yet light instrumentation. The vocal style in this song is slightly spoken-word feeling, reminding me a bit of bands like Hotel Books, but there’s also something polished and theatrical about it, giving it an almost Will Wood kind of feeling. Regardless of what the vocals remind you of, they will make you feel something. This song is raw through and through. The words will cut straight through your skin and bones and hit you right in the heart and soul. Sure, this song is about a break-up, but trust me when I say that a breakup is not the only time to check out this song. A lot of the things sung about and alot of the feeling felt throughout this song can translate to many different times and events. It’s a heavy song but a beautiful one and one that is absolutely worth your attention and love.
