Girl at the Rock Shows

I’m still on the search for a high-octane single to really keep me going today and I think I found just that in “The Labyrinth” from Black Orchid Empire.

This song is a rock n’ roll song- no other way to put it. Sure, I could complicate things, talk about how this leans into a heavier side of the hard rock subgenre, but why do that when this is just one of those songs that hits and hits hard? I love the balance that Black Orchid Empire has between beauty and power throughout this five-minute song. There are moments that will make chills run down your spine, quickly followed by blasts of power that will subconsciously knock you on your butt in a way. Although the contrasts throughout this song are severe, the band does such a great job of making this track feel super smooth. Whether you like a classic rock sound or something a bit heavier, there’s something in “The Labyrinth” for you so check it out and show this band some love!
