I hope you all had a beautiful holiday weekend. I know that I did, but I am also so excited to get back in the swing of things. I slacked off this weekend big time, which means today is going to be full of playing catch-up and trying not to drown. It’s daunting, but I think I’ll make it with the help of new music like “Body Cast” from Tiny Cities.

“Body Cast” is the first single from Tiny Cities’ upcoming EP ‘Beginning of the End.’ Although this song starts off super calm and beautiful, by the time this nearly five-minute song is done, you get to see those teeth behind Tiny Cities that make them such an irresistible band. Overall, this song is fairly slow and steady when compared to my typical offerings, but there’s a beautiful energy that floats throughout this song, making it one of those tracks that makes you stop everything and pay attention. The words are light, but they have depth behind them, which matches the hollow yet impactful instrumentation so perfectly. Although this isn’t quite the pump-up jam you may feel like you want after a long weekend, it’s the peaceful and calming track with a sense of fire behind it that you need.
