I am so very grateful and fortunate not to have to be on dating apps anymore. I was on them before they got super crappy and, somehow, met my current partner of four years on one of them. That doesn’t happen often, and after spending some time helping my friend with her swiping on one of the apps, I realize just how rare it was to find what I found. What I’m trying to say is that I don’t have to deal with apps like Tinder anymore, and although I’m so grateful that that’s how I found my person, I feel for anyone who is trying to find love on the “Tinder of Death.”

Why am I telling you about my love life? Well, as you may have caught onto based on the title of this song, “Tinder of Death” from United Thoughts is about the chaos that comes with online dating. Although I’m not in the game anymore, I hear about it and see it through my friends. Thankfully, none of them have found themselves in any of the insane plotlines that are in the amazing video that comes with this track. Beyond the perfection and slight campiness of this music video, United Thoughts is a band that shows their teeth throughout this song in a perfect way. It’s a powerful and intense track that bounces between something super extreme and sinister with something oddly boppy and fun. It’s a bit like I Wrestled A Bear Once but you can understand the words just a little bit more than that. Just when you think you have this band and “Tinder of Death” figured out, the vocals take a break and really let you hear the talent in this band. At the same time, the video takes a wild and wacky turn. Long story short, “Tinder of Death” will keep you on your toes, and United Thoughts will surely become a new favorite after just one listen to this song.
