We all have bad habits whether we want to admit to them or not. Right now, my bad habit is eating an entire bag of Dots pretzels because, well, it’s there. This is not a super bad, bad habit but it’s a bad habit nonetheless and although I recognize that it’s bad, it’s something that I do often. That’s what this new song from Barely Relevant is about. Not pretzels per se, but about “Bad Habits” and it’s as stunning as it is perfect.

This song and video is nothing short of cinematic. It’s dramatic and super well curated with a polished feeling both sonically and visually. At the same time, this song is absolutely raw to the core. You will feel so many things as you listen to the rises and falls throughout this three and a half minute song. You can all it alt-rock, hard-rock or even indie-rock but regardless of how you would classify this song, there’s no question that it will hook you and let your mind wander into beautifully dangerous places in all of the right ways. I really just can not express enough how captivated I was by this song and video. Even though I’ve watched and listened through “Bad Habits” from Barely Relevant multiple times, I still can’t get enough and each time I feel a sense of fire and a spark of life deep in my soul.
