Girl at the Rock Shows

I’m feeling energized. I have been fighting with my HOA for a couple of months now and I just won. It felt impossible but now that the fight is over and I’ve been victorious, I feel invincible. This is the kind of energy I needed today since it was another late night at a show followed by going through photos. I’m hoping that today’s playlist will help keep this invincible energy going and “SEK 2-STEP” from The Cosmic Bean is definitely getting that playlist started off right.

This song is the perfect blend of indie rock and emo. The vocals are raw and gritty and instantly pull at your heartstrings while the power behind the instrumentation gives this song a sense of strength that backs it all up. There are moments of this quick, two minute and fifty-second song that feel powerful and triumphant while other moments feel tender and make you feel seen. The way that The Cosmic Bean blends these two vibes together throughout this song is smooth and creates a super energized motion throughout the track. Just when you think you have this song figured out, The Cosmic Bean gives you a sense of meditative peace about two minutes in before ending this song on a truly explosive note. Sure, “SEK 2-STEP” is a rollercoaster ride of emotions but it’s also the kind of powerful track that is perfect to kick off even the sleepiest of Wednesday mornings.
