I don’t really have much for you this morning. I did two shows last night and then was a bit wired when I got home so I was up too late going through photos and just being awake. I’m paying for that this morning and, although I’m motivated to get stuff done, I just feel like I can’t really concentrate on anything for a long time before my eyes get heavy and I start to nod off. Thankfully, I have the energy and power that is “Something In The Water” from RIVIA to help me try to shake this feeling.

I’ve been hooked on The Forecast lately. They are not at all a new band. They are an old favorite who recently came back to life and I’m here for it but that’s what this song reminds me off. There’s a balance between energy and tenderness in this song. There are moments that will make you choke back tears and others that will make you want to flip your desk and storm out of your day job with a sense of resilience and power. The way that RIVIA, a four-piece band from Liverpool, balances the line between these two feelings, these two worlds, is absolutely perfect. I love how, depending on your mood, you can lean into the energy of this song and let it pep you up or, if you’re feeling frustrated and down, you can use this song as an outlet to turn things around. Either way and regardless of how you take in “Something In The Water,” one listen to this track and you will surely be hooked into RIVIA’s world.
