Happy Thursday, everyone. I hope you are all a bit more full of life than I am right now. I’m honestly dragging and starting to regret not taking a few nights off after Riot Fest to recover but, at the same time, there are just too many amazing shows coming through town right now to take a night off so it’s time to power through the exhaustion. Today is one of those days where even just keeping my eyes open feels like a herculean task but I won’t give in. I have things to do and, naturally, another show to catch tonight, so I’m looking for music to keep me moving through my day —basically, music like “Deleting Mice Elf” by Keegan Mac.
“Deleting Mice Elf” is a new single from Keegan Mac’s upcoming album. It’s a fairly simple song, but the simplicity of this track mixed with the authenticity that comes through in the music video instantly had me hooked. This song isn’t super aggressive or even super boppy, yet there’s something infectiously catchy about it that breathed a sense of life into me that I so badly needed this morning. It’s sweet and honest, and there was something super refreshing about watching the music video where Keegan Mac, along with a few friends, take turns destroying computers and computer related items. I’ll admit, today is one of those days when I just don’t want to be chained to my computer or even my desk at work so maybe that’s why it’s speaking to my soul so hard but, regardless, “Deleting Mice Elf” is a feel-good song that should be played at top volume all day long to help get you through what is surely just another day of the grind.
