I’ve already shared out a lot of music today but I have yet to share out a pop-punk-perfect track. That changes now.
“Sit Back” from Decade & A Day is absolutely a pop-punk-perfect little bop. This track is so fun and that fun is only enhanced by the music video that comes with it. There’s a classic feeling to this track but, don’t worry, it doesn’t feel dated. Infectious hooks and real-life lyrics keep this song feeling fresh and modern. The heavy-hitting drums are definitely a huge selling point on this song but, really, there’s no part here that doesn’t deserve your attention.
This song begs to be heard live but this band is based in Nottingham, U.K. which means it may be a wee bit of time before I can actually catch them live. That being said, this band is on a grind with multiple shows and releases so fingers and toes crossed that they cross the big ol’ pond sooner rather than later.
