I’m in a nostalgic kind of mood right now. I’m loving digging back into the Drive-Thru Records discography but, at the same time, I am wanting something new to kind of spark a little bit more excitement into my day. Enter: “Repeating” by SUNBURNT.
This pop-punk-perfect track is full of nostalgia but also has a modern twist and a blend of styles so unique and intriguing that it had me caught within the first few seconds. Right when this song kicks off, I was flooded with thoughts of the great alt-pop bands of the 90s but, as the song moves on and the chorus took over, I started thinking of more modern groups like Waterparks and All Time Low (I know they aren’t new but this has a vibe like some of ATL’s newer material). Regardless of if you pick up on the nostalgia of freshness of “Repeating”, this song is a jam that will absolutely make you stop what you’re doing and just enjoy so take a minute and check it out. When you inevitably get hooked on this show, make sure to show SUNBURNT some love!
