Although PAWS’ song is titled “Disenchanted”, I felt completely enchanted by this song and video. I love when a song title doesn’t quite match the vibe of a song. Blame it on growing up in the early 2000s pop-punk scene when songs would have longer than necessary names but it’s something that will always pique my interest hence why I am telling you all about “Disenchanted” this morning.
There’s a subtle sense of angst that comes through during this song. Although overall it’s a bit dreamy but with a post-punk edge, this song isn’t outwardly aggressive yet I got this angsty energy from the vocals that I found completely addicting. The almost mesmerizing music video with super cool visual effects and a constant sense of motion just added to my addiction when it came to this song. The icing on the cake? The sheer emotion that comes through with every word. Not only do you hear it, you see it being presented in a raw way when watching the video. “Disenchanted” from PAWS is a super powerful track that absolutely deserves your ears and attention this morning so what are you waiting for?
