Well, it’s back to reality after living the rockstar life at Riot Fest in Chicago all weekend. It was honestly a blur and a dream and as hard as it is to be back at the office and back in the normal grind that is life, I am glad to be living off of more than just energy drinks and coffee. To celebrate my return to life, I figured we could start today off with a song from a band that I keep telling you about, Merit Maker.
Merit Maker is back with yet another banger of a track. “Sparks Ignite” is not super different from the previous tracks that I’ve told you about but it’s just as solid which means it’s more than worth your attention. This band has such a classic yet fresh take on pop-punk. and the perfect balance of emotion and energy. I feel like “Sparks Ignite” is a perfect example of both of those things. This isn’t an overly frantic track yet there’s this energy behind it that will surely give you that little pep in your step that you may be lacking right now.
