Girl at the Rock Shows

I’m breaking my rule today. Usually, when going to a show where I know nothing about any of the performers, I try not to do any research. I feel like it leads to a more organic experience and review. I like going in blind as it adds excitement and surprise to the night but I couldn’t help but take a sneak peak listen of $iah’s brand new song “HUSH!” before seeing them tonight at the 7th Street Entry in Minneapolis.

“HUSH!” is a banger. There’s no other way to put it. It’s part rap, part metal, and all energy. When I say part rap and part metal, I don’t mean that this is a rap-metal track (although it does have those tendencies). I more mean that $iah has a sound unlike anything else that blends those two genres to create something absolutely insanely intense and chaotic. Add a little EDM inspired background and you get kind of close to all of the things that “HUSH!” has to offer but there’s still so much more to this track. It’s high energy and high chaos yet has a clear composition that will surely have you hooked.
