Girl at the Rock Shows

I didn’t have much time to share new music out with you yesterday. It was a crazy day at my day job which kept me away from my desk for the majority of the day. Although being busy made time go fast, I hated the fact that I couldn’t spend as much time checking out new music as I typically do so I’m going to try and make up for it today starting with “Be Kind, Please Rewind” from The Midland Affair.

The Midland Affair’s plan is to release a new single every month until June of 2024 which is when their full album will be released. It’s an ambitious plan and, in most cases, I would say not a good one because who’s going to remember to check back every month for a new song but that was before I heard “Be Kind, Please Rewind”. This song will have you so in love and so intrigued by The Midland Affair that you will set all kinds of alarms to remember to check out their new tracks as they drop. Although a slow and intentional feeling song, the amount of passion and fire that comes through the powerful and intense vocals is louder than life. It’s truly one of those sounds that just makes you stop everything and listen. It’s also one of those sounds that you just absolutely get lost in. Case in point- I wish I had a million things to say about this track but the fact is that “Be Kind, Please Rewind” almost knocked the wind out of me and I was just left with nothing but their beautiful soundscape taking over my body, mind, and soul throughout this nearly three minute song.
