Girl at the Rock Shows

I feel like “Pespi_10” from Pespi is one of those tracks that just doesn’t need an introduction but, at the same time, it feels weird to not write an introduction. I really have nothing witty to say or anything deep and on my mind right now but, again, “Pespi_10” really doesn’t need any wit or story to go with it. It’s a standalone brilliant track.

Right off the bat, angst-driven and raspy vocals take this track over and instantly win over your heart. “Pespi_10” has a very Midwest punk sensibility to it but there are also moments of pure emo goodness hidden throughout this track. I really love the composition of this track because it doesn’t follow the rules. Instead of having a slow and somber part situated towards the end, Pespi has put it closer to the beginning of the track and, when it’s said and done, blast into something a bit more powerful than the beginning of the song before falling into an almost mesmerizing and trance-like ending. “Pespi_10” is a rollercoaster of a song but I loved every twist and turn and it left me wanting so much more from this band.
