That song title caught your eye, didn’t it? I’ll be honest, I didn’t sit there and type that all out, I copy/pasted it from the submission I got from Motel Portrait but, like you, this caught my eye. I was intrigued and didn’t know what to expect. There’s something almost hinting at aggression with the capitalized letters and how many times “I LOVE YOU” is repeated in this song title but, “I LOVE YOU” also points to something tender and loving. What is this song all about? Let’s jump into it and see!

Motel Portrait really wastes no time dunking you into their world with this track. This song starts with a ramp up of guitar sounds before the song takes off into something extreme, chaotic, and perfect. A perfect mix of noise-jam and post-hardcore screams, I loved the chaotic energy of this track but, even more, loved the fact that Motel Portrait never let this song get the best of them. the band stays in control throughout this three minute song in such an organic way while letting the music take them where it wants to take them. It’s a balancing act when it comes to pulling something like this off and Motel Portrait makes it seem so easy. Although this may sound like just noise to some of you, it sounds like fire and passion to me. Which way do you hear it? Take a listen and, regardless of how this song hits, show Motel Portrait some love because they clearly put love into this song.
