Although I didn’t hear the original of this song before the remaster, I can tell you that “Carpet Kite” is one of those songs that instantly hits you with a sense of irresistible power. This song is a back-to-basics kind of song with a very 90s/ 00s alt-rock vibe to it but it comes with an extra slice of angst in the vocals. There’s almost a bit of a grunge influence that I got from the angsty vocals but, at the same time, there was an almost hardcore feeling that comes from the powerful drums and slamming guitars. Honestly, this song is a bit of a chameleon the more you listen to it which just adds to the genius behind the track. Whether you are in an angry mood and need to let off some steam or are just looking for that kick in the butt to get moving– Noiseheads has you covered.
