Let’s get a bit more angsty and aggressive with the day, shall we? I honestly don’t know why I’m in the mood for something a bit heavier and more in-your-face but here we are and “No Way Home” from Zero Cost is absolutely hitting the spot right now.
The third track from Zero Cost’s newest EP ‘Mouths To Feed’, “No Way Home” is intense and in-your-face but not in the normal way. There’s restraint shown throughout this three and a half minute song in both the vocals and instrumentation. The undeniable energy mixed with this constraint makes for a song that will both give you a sense of solace while also acting as a swift kick in the butt to get things done. I like the subtle darkness in the vocals that helps convey the message of the words here. What is that message? Come on now! You know me better than that! I’m not going to tell you. I guess you’ll just have to check out “No Way Home” for yourself and, when you do, make sure to show Zero Cost some love!
