It’s supposed to be unseasonably warm outside today. That, plus the sun, plus the stray cat I found has me feeling a bit manic, but it’s a positive kind of manic. It’s a day and I’m just ready to get out of work so I can put this energy to use rather than being stuck behind a desk. I need music that kind of matches this energy to almost soothe my soul in a way and my gut is saying that “Hey Man” from Bleeker is the ticket.
It’s funny that my gut told me that this is the song for me right now because this song is all about going with your gut. “Hey Man” will give you such an undeniable rush of energy and a positive feeling. It’s a song that urges you to stop waiting for other people to make decisions for you. It’s an ode to those who follow their guts and how those people wish everyone would do that a bit more. This is not the first single that I’ve shared from Bleeker, yet every time I hear a song from them, I am thrilled by their no-frills alt-rock sound. It’s aggressive and intense but is shadowed by moments of tender beauty. This song can be all over the map when it comes to mood and style if you want to dig into it or it can just be the perfect anthemic rock song to soundtrack your Thursday. Choose your own way of interpreting this song, just make sure you check it out and show Bleeker some love.
