There are times where we all feel just a bit “Stuck in Motion.” I know that my life is a bit more exciting than most with checking out new music nearly every single night but there are still many points in my day-to-day life where I feel like nothing has changed and life is nothing but a relentless grind. It’s a hopeless feeling and I’m just lucky that I have a escape on most nights. Do you?
“Stuck in Motion” from Taken Alive is about this feeling. It’s a feeling of dread, slight desperation to get out, and an uncomfortable weight that we all carry with us but all try to hide. Although these feelings can quickly create an almost numb feeling in your heart, “Stuck in Motion” is here to pull you out of it. To give you feeling again through the cathartic release that this track supplies. On top of the depth of this song, Taken Alive has such a relatable sound. There’s a nurturing tenderness that comes through in the vocals here, acting almost like a shoulder to lean on, but then you have the heavy-hitting drums and powerful guitar and bass sound to help hold you up in an almost victorious way. Whether you need a reminder to slow down a little bit and that life isn’t only about the grind, or you just need a song to lean on for three and a half minutes as a bit of a meditation, Taken Alive has your back with “Stuck in Motion.”
