Girl at the Rock Shows

Have you ever had one of those days where everything is going great but your computer just won’t cooperate? That’s me right now. Everything is taking forever to load, my music keeps on stopping, and I’m just growing more and more frustrated with every passing minute. Yes, I have tried to restart it. Even tried unplugging it and plugging it back in but to no avail. Sure, I’m frustrated but, on a day as good as today, I won’t let it get me down. This has nothing to do with “Tidal Wave” from REEFEATER.

REEFEATER is a punk band from Fremantle, Western Australia and, holy crap, this trio has a sound that just has to be heard. It’s part manic, part tender which, I know shouldn’t go together but the blend that this band has pulled off in “Tidal Wave” is absolutely seamless and perfect. From dazzling riffs to chant-like vocals that really drill REEFEATER’s sound straight into your soul, everything about this two minute and forty-six second song is flawless and will leave you wanting so much more from this band. It will also leave you begging to the concert Gods for a chance to see this group live. There’s just something about the energy that comes through in this track that tells me everything I need to know- this band would bring a sense of undeniable fire and passion to a stage and, although I don’t know if/when I’ll ever get a chance to experience it, I plan on spending the rest of my day dreaming about it.
