Girl at the Rock Shows

As mentioned, I took a break yesterday. For the first time in a long time, I did absolutely nothing and it was glorious. I’m back at it today and finally feeling motivated and I feel like the fact that my next single to share out with you is titled “Give Myself A Break” is a sign that I made the right choice taking yesterday off. Sure, I feel guilty and know that I could have gotten so much done but, at the end of the day, we are all human, not machines and I love that this song reminds you that.

If you’re looking for pop-punk perfection, I’ve found it for you! “Give Myself A Break” is such a fun and upbeat track. Its infectious energy and beat make it perfect for a Sunday morning when you’re trying to just put your head down and get stuff done. It’s a bright song but, in true pop-punk fashion, has raw and relatable lyrics. Featuring Sleeping With Sirens vocalist Kellin Quinn, although this song is super fun, there’s definitely a slight edge that comes through at times in the track, just amping everything up if only ever so slightly. This is one of those singles that I wish I had so much more to say about but, at the end of the day, this is just one of those feel-good kind of songs that has to be heard and felt to really understand how good it is.
