I haven’t been feeling like myself lately so I took all day Saturday to just reset. It was glorious. I didn’t leave the house and barely left the couch. For someone who is always going a million miles an hour, it honestly wasn’t easy for me to pull it off but, when I woke up on Sunday, I realized just how much it had done. I woke up today feeling refreshed and ready to take on the world and, although I try not to work on Sundays, I am in the mood to get some stuff done and that includes getting caught up on sharing some amazing new music with you.

I just can not get enough of Bleeker these days. I’ve shared out multiple singles from this band and am here this morning to share out yet another one. The amount of swagger that will hit you within the first few beats of “Florida” is insane and perfect. “Florida” actually has very little to do with the state. It’s a song more about “what you don’t need vs what you think you want.” Truthfully, that’s not the message I got here. I don’t know that I got any message from this track if I’m being quite frank. I was just so dazzled by the swagger and the power of this track that I felt blinded. There’s something a bit retro about the style of this song that instantly gave me Jane’s Addiction vibes but there’s also something fresh about it so don’t think that this is just a carbon copy of old music or anything like that. Per usual, Bleeker has put their own signature twist on a familiar sound creating something completely new and so easy to get lost in.
