I really like to use this platform to promote small, up-and-coming acts. The Dirty Nil is neither small nor up-and-coming. Honestly, they don’t need my little blog to promote them, but the first time I heard their new-ish track, “Gallop of the Hounds,” I couldn’t help but want to share it with all of you.

The first single from The Dirty Nil’s upcoming ‘The Lash’ album (due out in July), “Gallop of the Hounds” is full of the swagger that sets The Dirty Nil apart from everyone else and makes their live shows a sight to be seen. Although there’s swagger here, there’s also their signature splash of glam that comes through in everything this band. There’s drama and emotion wrapped up in the highly energetic presentation of this song but you may not hear that with the first listen. “Gallop of the Hounds” is one of those songs that I highly suggest you listen to a couple of times to really hear all of the magic that is in the song. You can either follow the relentless energy of this track, get lost in the lyrics, or get sidetracked by one of the other razzle-dazzle elements of this song. No matter what track you chose, “Gallop of the Hounds” will have you hooked and, if you weren’t already, completely in love with The Dirty Nil.
