Girl at the Rock Shows

I didn’t know how to fill in the blanks of this band name. Truthfully, I’m not even sure if they’re meant to be filled in, but I liked the challenge of trying to figure out what’s missing. Although I did finally figure out the missing letters (after an embarrassingly long time), I realized that the missing letters and puzzle-like name have nothing to do with how amazing the new song “No Place Like Home” is.

“No Place Like Home” is pure emo perfection. It’s a slow-burning yet anthemic track that will make you stop whatever you are doing and pay attention. Although the song is about the cliche heartbreak, hope, and the balance between the two that makes most amazing emo songs, the word choice throughout this song felt as raw as it did perfect. This song is the third single from H_ngm_n’s upcoming debut LP, and you best believe I am just counting down the moments until that full album is out because, if this song is any indication as to what’s on the album, it will surely be a stunner. I’m not sure when that album will be coming ou,t but I am just thankful to have this song and their other two previous singles to play on repeat until that time comes.
