Girl at the Rock Shows

We all can feel stuck sometimes. Whether you feel stuck by a job, a relationship, maybe a house of maybe just a certain friend group– it’s something that is just part of life and is truly unavoidable. That being said, there’s something oddly comfortable about being stuck sometimes. I won’t get super deep and heavy this Monday morning but it’s something that makes breaking free and finding an escape route as thrilling as it is satisfying. That’s what “Horizon” from Accept the Wind is about but, for me, this song is so much more than that message.

Accept the Wind started as a one-person acoustic guitar kind of act, which is hard to believe when you hear the power of this song. Although it is clear that Accept the Wind has transitioned from a solo act to a full-band sound, I love how you still convey a sense of intimacy through the raw emotion that seeps through with every passing note and beat. I’ll be honest, this song leans a bit more heavily into the hard rock vein of things than what I typically go for, but there was something about this song that had me hooked. Maybe it’s that intimacy I mentioned, or maybe it’s the message. Regardless, I think there’s something truly special about “Horizon” from Accept the Wind, but it’s something you just have to hear and feel. So, check it out and show this band some love!
