Girl at the Rock Shows

I should be working right now as it’s a race against the clock to get things done but, truthfully, my head isn’t in the game when it comes to work. My head is more focused on new music so why not take another quick breather to check out another new song. This one is “Future Isn’t Sealed” from CAN’T STOP TALKING.

There’s something almost abrasive about this band name with the way it yells at you in all caps, but, truthfully, I’m glad that it caught my attention because they quickly became a new obsession after checking out this song. At under three minutes, it’s a short little ditty, but, oh boy, does it pack a punch. Influences seem to range from an IDLES-style intensity to an almost ’90s alt-rock kind of beat. It’s a jagged-edged kind of song with a strong beat and super angular guitars, yet the song, overall, comes off as being smooth and so perfectly powerful. There’s something strange about the overall patterns and composition of this song, but that just adds to the mysterious power. “Future Isn’t Sealed” is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to CAN’T STOP TALKING, so if you like this song, I highly urge you to check out some of their other material out there, including their EP ‘Nothing To Say.’
