Girl at the Rock Shows

While a lot of people have today off from work, I am decided to spend it working. I’m not in the office, but I’m determined to get caught up on some of my own stuff. After a morning of running errands, I have chained myself to desk, only allowed to get up to do chores around the house when I need a break. It’s going to be a long afternoon but at least I have some amazing music like “THE LAST DANCE” from STRANGE WOMAN to help get me through.

I’ve been in love with STRANGE WOMAN ever since I heard “FAKE VALENTINE.” She just has such a ferocious energy to her that really resonates me and can be heard loud and clear in this new song. There’s something sexy about this song, but at the same time, it serves as an almost threatening anthem. This song makes you claim everything you are in such a powerful way. The sass is relatable but also empowering in an undeniable way. Stylistically, this song is all over the place. A Red Hot Chili Peppers bassline with a Rage Against the Machine attitude and almost psychedelic undertones, much like her personality, clearly STRANGE WOMAN refuses to be put into just one box or be minimized. She is here to take up space in your ears and your mind, and I am 100% okay with her taking me over.
