It’s already been a bit of a rocky morning. I switched my computer out at work because my old one was going way too slow for me. Although this “new” one is much faster, the setup time definitely took longer than expected, and now I feel like I’ve fallen completely behind on everything. I’m trying my best not to let it get to me, but I’m already looking forward to going home after work and a few errands for a little reset. I’m still a couple of hours away from that reset, so let’s get lost in some new music to try and get back on track a bit.
“Spring Coats” from Bright League is a straight-up pop-punk anthem. It’s no frills and definitely feels like a timeless classic, but at the same time, something about this song just popped amongst the pop-punk playlist I have been listening to so far this morning. The vocals seem to come at you with this weird, angsty-hued brightness. I wish I could expand on that, but I feel like there’s really no way to explain that more. This song definitely has some teeth behind it and no shortage of energy, but overall, it’s just one of those happy-go-lucky kinds of jams that will surely get your Monday started off right or get back on the right track.
