Happy Friday, everyone! We made it! Now let’s all take a sigh of relief in unison that this week is almost over. Okay, maybe a sigh of relief is a bit of a drastic measure, especially if you, like me, don’t really participate in weekends and, instead, work through them. I just feel like things have been a bit wacky and wild lately, so the fact that it’s Friday is a little thing we can celebrate, and what better way to celebrate than to check out a bunch of new music, starting with “Happier” from Rokko Ca$h.
This explosive single had me hooked from the get-go. It’s a pop-punk jam with a modern leaning sound. It definitely reminds me a bit of modern-day MGK or KennyHoopla, but there’s also a river of nostalgia flowing throughout this two-minute song. Hailing from Jacksonville, Florida, Rokko Ca$h did everything on this song from the drums to guitar, keyboard to vocals. It’s hard to believe that this much sound and power came from just one human, and there’s absolutely no denying the talent that Rokko Ca$h has. This song is quick but it will definitely fill you with a sense of happieness and joy making it the best way to kick off your Friday morning.
