It’s a new day, which means now is a perfect time to check out a new song from a new band. “Sun Slayer” is the debut track from Turtle Tea Party and to say it’s perfect for a sleepy Wednesday morning would be an understatement.
Everything about this song is pure chaos, yet Trutle Tea Party never lets that chaos get the best of them. Throughout this frantic and furious minute-and-a-half-long song, you hear the band control the uncontrollable. They somehow find a sense of organization in the chaos of the sound, creating something that is as energizing as it is perplexing (in all of the right ways). The texture of this song is rough and scratchy with glittery synth sounds sprinkled throughout. I honestly wish I had so much more to say about this song because I truly think it’s a brilliant work of art, but it’s quick, and I seem to find myself lost for words, so do yourself a favor and just check it out!
