Girl at the Rock Shows

It’s one of those days where time is both moving slow as molasses and quick as crap. It has me in a weird mood. I know I need to get a lot done, and time is fleeting, but at the same time, I feel like I’m taking my time and getting distracted, yet not getting frustrated about it. Long story short, I’m a bit all over the place right now, so it feels like a great time to take a breather and check out another new track.

Courtney Hadwin had a viral moment just a little bit ago. Honestly, I missed it. I’m not on the TikTok and rarely use my social media other than posting for my blog stuff. That being said, I think this song, “Electric,” is proof that Courtney Hadwin is going to be so much more than just that viral moment. This song is unique in the way it blends so many different things. Overall, I would call it a pop tune, but at the same time, there’s a super groovey bassline to it that leans a bit into R&B, and then you have this epic horn section here and there that adds a little strut to the music. On top of all of that, you have Courtney’s voice that is as gritty as it is smooth, depending on the word she is singing, and then you just have the sheer amount of energy that radiates from this track as a whole. Sure, Courtney had her moment after starring on the 13th season of America’s Got Talent, but, truthfully, this amazing talent is going to be so much more than that. Check out “Electric” right now and inevitably fall in love with this amazingly young and impressive musician
