Girl at the Rock Shows

I know, I know. It’s super early on a Thursday morning but, without a show last night because of mass confusion and a certain terrible company playing with my emotions (I was declined for the show so made other plans but, once I started into those plans, got a text that I was actually approved for the show and had all of thirty minutes to get to the show and work so, at that point, it wasn’t worth it), I don’t have a review to write this morning or any photos to edit so I figure we should just jump right into the day and start it off right with some new music like “Vine Around the Heart” from Splendid Torch.

This country-drenched track instantly calmed over my manic heart. It’s a soft and delicate song but it will hit you like a ghost train. There’s so much emotion and so much fire put into every word of this track, but at the same time, all of those words glide from one to another, giving this song a very calm feeling. I’l be the first to admit that this was not quite what I had in mind when it came to what kind of song I wanted to kick my Thursday off with but, as the song played, I realized just how much healing it was allowing me to do. I was able to sort through the racing thoughts in my head and set myself up for what I hope will be a successful day. Long story short, if you’re like me and like things loud and intense in the morning, still give “Vine Around the Heart” from Splendid Torch a listen. I promise it will end up being a surprisingly perfect way to kick off your day.
