Girl at the Rock Shows

It’s another Monday where I’d love to be anywhere other than at my desk. I know I’ve only been at work for two hours, but I’m already over it and looking for an escape. Thankfully, DOG WITH A SPOON’s song “Live With The Otters” is a perfect “escape-from-reality anthem.”

This song is ridiculously catchy and energized and talks about leaving the weird and, quite often, terrible reality we live in for somewhere a bit simpler. It talks about living with otters, which, I know, sounds so random and bizarre, but it’s also so fun and playful. This song is bright and, although it’s a fairly sunny morning here in Minneapolis, it made the sun feel a little warmer than it actually is. Stylistically, this is a straight-up pop-punk-perfect kind of track. It takes nods from bands like Blink 182 and Sum 41, but also has that playful energy that comes from a Bowling For Soup or Koo Koo song. Whether you’re struggling to get into the grind of the week or just need something to smile about, I highly suggest checking out “Live With The Otters” from DOG WITH A SPOON.
