I disappeared there for a couple of hours. I am so sorry! Truthfully, I got on a roll with some work stuff, and I knew that taking a break was going to break my concentration, so I powered through and, hot damn, it feels good to have that giant piece of my to-do list done for the day. It has me feeling so good that I think it’s time to celebrate by checking out a song that caught me by both the song title and the band name.

Scary Stories To Tell Your Therapist’s new song is “Raccoons Don’t Have No Secrets.” Come on, try to reach either of those names without a smile on your face. Try to read them together and not have an image of a raccoon sitting on a therapist’s tacky couch pop into your head. Even with all of that, that’s still not the best part of this song. The best part is the music. The first song ever for Scary Stories To Tell Your Therapist, “Raccoons Don’t Have No Secrets” is a pop-punk perfect song. It definitely has a lean into something a bit more tender and emo than most of the pop-punk that I share out, but there’s still something undeniably fun and infectious about this track. This is just the beginning for Scary Stories To Tell Your Therapist, and although there were points throughout this song where it felt a bit rough around the edges, I think this is a band that you should really keep an eye on because the potential within this track is amazing.
