If you know me, you know I love a good, cheese-filled pun, so, naturally, I was drawn to this new song from Glass Parachute. I mean, come on, I love Blink, I love puns, so, of course, I love just reading and seeing “Kink-182,” but this song is so much more than that clever pun.

It doesn’t take long to hear the crystal clear Blink-182 influence in this song. It’s heard loud and clear in everything from the drums, guitar, and bass to the vocals. Although there are definite nods to the kings of pop-punk, there’s something a little extra to this song that makes it stand apart. Maybe it’s the fact that this is a one-human act (outside of the drums), so everything has a super cohesive feel to it, or maybe it’s just the “nothing to lose, everything to prove” vibe that I feel throughout the track. Either way, Glass Parachute caught me with a pun and then won me over with talent, and I can’t wait to hear more from this pop-punk act.
